Jesus can hear your thoughts and He still likes you. October 4, 2011

Matthew 9:4 NIV

Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts? (Matthew 9:4 NIV)

When I was a young christian, I would always wish that I was born at the time of Jesus so I could hangout with Him. “Wouldn’t that be so cool to just chill with Him and talk to Him personally” and then when I read this verse, it made me think twice about that wish. If I would hangout with Jesus, what would He say about my thoughts? Wouldn’t it be embarrassing for me to hear Jesus say what he said to the Pharisees? I know it would be… So I kinda went easy on that wish for a little bit.

But when I really thought about it, It dawned on me that I don’t have to be born at the time of Jesus for Him to hear my thoughts! He can hear my thoughts right now! In fact He can hear my thoughts every moment of the day! He knew the times when I have entertained evil in my heart. He knows how impure my thoughts can be at times. He knows me fully today.

And amazingly, He still accepts me.
I am fully known yet I am fully accepted.

Jesus knows you. He hears your every thought – including the ones you don’t want Him to hear. But I want you to know, our deeds and our thoughts are not what earned us God’s love and acceptance in the first place and therefore are never gonna be what will take away God’s Love and acceptance from us

What an amazing kindness God has for us…
The bible says it is that kindness that makes sure we don’t use God’s love as a license to sin more but instead brings change in the way we do things and also in the way we think.

It’s time to repaint the Center! March 2, 2010

Hi everyone! God has been so faithful to provide for the needs of our church.  When we decided to step out in faith and buy the replacement Bass Amplifier, God met us at our faith and even provided a brand new Drumset! When we prayed for a signage and began saving up for it, God met us at our faith and provided miraculously for the whole amount! Indeed the God we serve is our God who provides! He provides through miracles and through his people!  Right now we are believing God for the provision to repaint the Main Hall.  It has been about 6 years since we last had it painted.  Our God deserves excellence from us, I believe He deserves to be represented well in our generation.  We want everything about us to represent our message about our God.  That is why there is no doubt in our mind that if it is God’s will, It is God’s bill!

Victory LB finally has a SIGNAGE! February 17, 2010

“A business without a sign is a sign of no business” said one businessman who is a member of the church.  He was asking last year why don’t we have a signage for our church? “It’s not that we don’t want to…” I said, “It’s just that we can’t afford it right now…”

Yup.  We could not afford it… but God can and He did.  He provided miraculously for our signage, the whole 40ft of it.

After 20 years of having no decorous signage, one just have to go to UPLB gate, look up to the left and there we are.  Victory LB is now on the map!

Youth Service Power Preachers This Week! November 25, 2009

It is our last installment of our FAITHFUL PREACHING SERIES this week!

And just like in the past few weeks, we’ve got power preachers in the house!

Today we have Pastor Ernie of Victory Calamba, Ernie is also the founder of Power Memory, a revolutionary learning system that equips people with superb memory skills designed to store, retain and recall information quickly, efficiently, systematically, and in a stress-free manner.

Before going full-time in the ministry, Ernie served as the family pastor and worship leader at Victory LB.  It is always a privilege to have Ernie back in Lb and hear a powerful message from God through this man.

Pastor Gilbert (left) will be preaching tomorrow about God’s expectation that we be faithful to the call of discipleship.

Gilbert is currently the Senior Pastor of our Victory U-belt church.  Through his leadership and influence, we have seen such a tremendous growth in the churches of Laguna.  With his help many pastors have been raised to plant churches in Southern Luzon namely in San Pablo, Calamba and Lipa Batangas.  This man’s heart is to reach the youth for Christ.

Join us at our youth service tomorrow and hear him preach and be encouraged!
