4000 families are affected in 9 Barangays of Los Banos.  Many are displaced.  They need help.  We are helping.  If you want to help us help, you can find us at 2nd floor of Vega Center (near UPLB gate).  We are accepting donations in kind and in cash.

“I’m a christian. I’m in love… what do I do?”

There was a time when we were far away from God,  we think we knew the answer to this question.  From experience we have have drawn great insights and have even formulated techniques to respond to great emotions we catch when we think we meet the “one” for us.  However when we surrendered our life to Christ, we realized that most if not all our accumulated love skills were not really bringing us the to the center of God’s will.  So now we find ourselves back to the drawing board, unlearning the things of the world and learning the things of God when it comes to romance, dating, & sex.  But good grief! where do we learn all these? Churches seldom talk about these things nowadays. Well, we will at the Big Group Meeting for life group leaders. This week and next.  See You!!!

In our new series we are going to explore our identity in God and discover what it means to be made in God’s image.  Why? Because it is impossible to have a victorious life if we do not know who we are in God.

We decided to have only one Worship Service last sunday to give everyone a chance to hear Steve preach.  It was worth it!  Steve was just magnanimous.  He started this work of service to our churches by preaching first at the 9am Worship Service of our Victory Calamba church then drove right away to our Los Banos center for the 11am Worship Service.  Right after lunch we asked him to minister to the Staff and after that to the leaders of the church.  He gladly gave himself to the ministry and for that we are so grateful.  Pastor Steve, may God richly bless you back for the seeds you have sown into our ministry.  We want you to know you are always welcome here in LB!

We had a great time with Pastor Steve at the Thursday Youth service where he preached from his life story. (how he met God and developed a relationship with him)   Many were encouraged and challenged to recommit their spiritual lives to God.  I can’t forget what he said about Giving it all for God,  “If you haven’t given your love life to God, you haven’t given Him anything at all!” Strong!

Faith Maranan – is an instructor at the Biological Sciences at UPLB, she is a great communicator and a powerful preacher, she also volunteers as one of our worship leaders and leads a discipleship group among the single professionals.

Steve Hollander – is a pastor at our University Church at Nashville, Tennessee. He also serves as the campus harvest director in the US. He helped establish Victory LB church in its early years. It was during that time that he proposed to his wife. Today, after 19 years pastor Steve returns to LB to visit and give a timely message for our church.

almost a hundred Victory LB members were able to attend the festive celebration of Victory@25 at the Araneta Coliseum last July 24, 2009.  It was such a great time to reflect on God’s faithfulness in taking care and growing His church for the last 25 years.  Now that the celebration is over, we look forward to next 25 years with great expectation of what God will do next and where God will bring our movement next in our great adventure with Him!
